Sometimes in life we meet someone and know right away that they are the ones we want to spend the rest of the time with. On this journey called life, not everyone is lucky enough to find their soul mate, but when you do, be sure to hold on tight and never let go of their side.
An 80-year-old man visited his wife in a nursing home and brought her flowers and breakfast. He was questioned about his wife and why she was staying at the facility by someone who had seen him do this every morning. She had Alzheimer’s disease, the man retorted.
The interested visitor asked the old man, “Would your wife be worried if one day you didn’t bring her breakfast?” She doesn’t remember, replies the man. She hasn’t recognized me for five years; she doesn’t even know who I am. Even more puzzled, the individual asked, “So why do you bring your wife breakfast every morning, even though she doesn’t even recognize you?” The loving wife said with a smile, “She doesn’t know who I am, but I know who she is.”
It really moved our hearts.
