Born to Be a Star! Angelina Jolie’s Complete Transformation Over the Years: PH๏τos

As the only daughter of late starlet Marcheline Bertrand and actor Jon Voight, fame was pretty much Angelina Jolie‘s destiny. In fact, the Los Angeles native began working in the film industry at just 7 years old.
In 1982, Angelina played Tosh Warner alongside her father in the movie Lookin’ to Get Out. While it would be about a decade before she became a household name, it was clear from the start she belonged in Hollywood.
Beyond Angelina’s career, her love life has been making headlines for years, most notably her split from Brad Pitt in 2014. The A-list couple was together for 12 years and share six children, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Vivienne and Knox.
Despite their rocky divorce, Angelina has learned to persevere through the transition. “The past few years have been pretty hard,” she told British Vogue in February 2021. “I’ve been focusing on healing our family. It’s slowly coming back, like the ice melting and the blood returning to my body.”
Angelina went on to say that she “hopes” to find peace in the aftermath of her marriage ending, as well as entering her late forties. “I’m planning on it. I do like being older,” the Notes from My Travels author explained. “I feel much more comfortable in my forties than I did when I was younger. Maybe because … I don’t know … maybe because my mom didn’t live very long, so there’s something about age that feels like a victory instead of a sadness for me.”
Angelina’s interview with Vogue was conducted at her stunning California estate, once owned by director Cecil B. DeMille. “I wanted it to be close to their dad, who is only five minutes away,” the Unbroken director said. “I love most that there is no entertainment room, but lots of pathways and places to walk and think. I feel very fortunate we have that at this time.”
Ultimately, Angelina enjoys spending time outside of the spotlight with her children. “We were on the trampoline the other day, and the children said, ‘No, Mom, don’t do that. You’ll hurt yourself.’ And I thought, ‘God, isn’t that funny?’” she recalled. “There was a day I was an action star, and now the kids are telling me to get off the trampoline because I’ll hurt myself. I love that.”
