My husband and mother-in-law treated me in the most malicious way, but they didn’t consider one thing — soon everything came back to them like a boomerang.

My husband and mother-in-law treated me in the most malicious way, but they didn’t consider one thing — soon everything came back to them like a boomerang.

Fifteen years ago, Bhaya and I got married. I immediately realized that we would never have a good relationship with my mother-in-law. For a long time, Sergey and I didn’t have children. Fortunately, he was a businessman, worked as the director of a successful company, so we underwent tests, received treatment, and soon life blessed us with a son and a daughter.

I raised the children while my husband worked; this arrangement suited us. My mother lived in another country, so I didn’t expect help from her. However, my mother-in-law simply didn’t want to help. She disliked me and ignored her grandchildren.

Fifteen years ago, she considered me unworthy of her son, thought I was with him only for money, and tried to introduce him to daughters of wealthy parents. But Sergey chose me. One evening, returning home, I found a note on the nightstand and noticed that the apartment was empty, with no sign of Sergey. He had left me and the children. The note said: “I have someone else.

You’re a strong woman, you’ll manage. If you can, forgive me. Don’t look for me.” I called him, but his phone was switched off. He had left, leaving me with nothing. I hadn’t noticed any changes in his behavior. I decided to call my mother-in-law.

“It’s all your fault! I suspected from the beginning that it would end like this, so I was against it. What I’m guilty of, I still don’t understand. It’s clear that I’m left with nothing – and with the children. How will I feed them, what will we live on – no idea! I remembered that before marriage, I used to help students with writing their coursework and theses. I started doing that again… A few months later, there was a knock on the door. I opened it, and there was my mother-in-law, in tears.

She said the new fiancée of my husband had manipulated them, deceived them, and vanished, leaving them with nothing, just like they did to me back then.

My mother-in-law asked me to let her stay for a while. And now I don’t know whether to do the same to her as she did to me, or to forgive.
